Ø
I highly recommend using
GTA Mod Installer 5.0beta or higher, you can download it from www.thegtaplace.com
or gtaportal.kulichki.com.
Ø
I highly recommend
replacing Admiral in game, this model was tested and tweaked on Admiral.
Ø
If you wish to install
the files manually, you still can do it, but remember to install DMagic1 Wheel
Mod.
1.
Open GTA Mod Installer
and press “Continue”
2.
Leave “Install a Custom
vehicle into Vice City” selected and press “Next”
3.
If you read this, you
have already extracted the archive with the model, so select “I want to select
a folder that contains all vehicle’s files” and press “Next”
4.
Now you should select
directory where the game is installed using “…” button next to the input
window, then select the directory where you have extracted the model the same
way and press “Next”
5.
You should leave
“Admiral” highlighted to replace it and press “Next”
·
If the “Dmagic1 Wheel
mod Needed” dialog pops out, you Must chose “Yes”, it is essential for this
model.
6.
In the dialog
prompting whenever you want to change the name of the car in game you should
select “Yes” and type in the name like “SAAB 9000 Anniv.” Note – do not type
the name longer than recommended, because it could not show up correctly in
game. Note2 – this function may result in an error if you are installing
the model over some kind of a mod, it means the name will not be changed, but
the car will work fine anyway. Press “Next”
7.
Now you should
select which language do you use in game, in most cases select “English” and
press “Next”
8.
In “Vehicle Physics”
window you do not need to edit anything, because the Mod installer have already
found all the needed data, just press “Next”
9.
In “Create Backups”
dialog, you can choose to make a backup for this model, so you can uninstall
the SAAB 9000 later back to the original Admiral in case of any problem or if
you wish so, probably you won’t be using those backups anyway, so you can
select “No”, but remember use at your own risk!
10.
That’s it, press
“Exit” and go look for SAAB 9000 in the game : )
Ø
First of course you need
the mod, if you haven’t got it already. You should at least try it, GTA3 on
GTA-VC engine rocks.
Ø
This model was tested in
Liberty City beta 2 test version, but it should work in Any version without
problems.
Ø
In Liberty City it is
highly recommended to replace Kuruma (again Admiral.dff), so you should replace
Admiral’s files.
Ø The installation process for Liberty City is Exactly the same as for regular Vice City, so you can follow this guide.
This model was made with a
great attention to the interior. To experience the full potential of this model
you should try the interior views. To use custom views in GTA Vice City I
recommend VC CamHack 2.9 by
Racer_S. The 3.0c version doesn’t have the Readme included and has almost no
improvements over v2.9, but you can always try any other version if you like.
This is my first 3D work
ever – first mesh, first textures, first texturing etc. – don’t judge too
harsh 8 ]
This is a fan work. SAAB is
my favorite brand.
The .dff file is open for
examination, I am not afraid to show it, because all modeling was made very
precise.
Anniversary edition
is a special edition of CSE model devoted to SAAB’s 50th anniversary in 1997.
It has Aero exterior, two-tone sand beige leather seats with embedded
anniversary logos and wood and leather steering wheel.
Known bugs:
·
Deleted front brake
supports – decided to sacrifice them for bugging front wheels on turns
Special thanks to:
If someone is making any SAAB model and needs Any textures, up to
ridiculous ones, I can help to get the pics.
Converting, Modding and
Hosting:
If you wish to
convert this model to another game, you must contact me for permission, and if
you do not modify it, have the skills to make a quality conversion (have made
some of your own models before) and include me in credits you most likely will
get the permission.
Any use of any part
of this model & textures for anything but free of charge computer game mods
is prohibited.
If
you wish to modify this model you must contact me with the idea and of course
you must have experience. I am willing to help anyone who wants to create 9000
Aero, 9000 CSE, 9000 CD or 9000i of any kind, but you must keep at least the
same level of quality as the original. You might get the permission to use
parts of this model for other projects as well, but I won’t let anyone to make
any “ricers”, rice is not bad, but not for SAAB.
You
may host this model wherever you like as long as you keep the “SAAB 9000
Anniversary” name on it, include all the files in the archive, mention “SDX” as
the author and contact me with the link to the file. (Please do not add it to
the “others”, put it in “SAAB” directory)
Use at your own risk
