* GTA-SA Ultimate Editor FAQ *
******************************

1) What is GTA-SA Ultimate Editor?

GTA-SA Ultimate Editor will allow you to change certain aspects of a the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas game, including
Car Information, Weapon Information, Ped Stats & Groups, and Stores.

2) Why wont GTA-SA Ultimate Editor show me anything? (or complines about files not being there)

You probly need to set the program to your PS2 Path (place where you copied the files from the GTA-SA DVD to PC)
   a) then start the program (clicking "OK" till it starts)
   b) goto "Options" in the menu at top and find your GTA-SA directory
   c) click "OK"
note: You can also click on "Fix File Data Format" to rebiuld the orginal files with the correct Tabs and Spaces.
It works when i try it, but be sure to backup the "DATA" directory.

3) How can you edit a PS2 game?

There are a couple of way, which i will speak breifly on.
   a) Mod-Chip & DVD Burner (DVD)- This way you will need to solder a Mod-Chip to your PS2 main board, and use a DVD Burner
                              to create your DVD

   b) Hard Drive & HDLoader (HD) - With this method you will need a PS2 Network Adapter, a compatiable hard drive, WinHIIP, and
a free IDE connection on a PC. (This is my prefered method)

4) So I do I use a PC to edit my Game?

   a) copy your DATA and MODEL directories to a folder on your PC
(DVD) inster the DVD into a DVD Drive and copy (I do NOT use this method so I have little information on it)
(HD) 1) you can use the above DVD method, or you can copy the game to your PS2 Hard Drive, than connect the PS2 HD
to the free IDE space on your PC. (don't forget master and slave options)
WARNING: do not try to use anything but WinHIIP to access your PS2 HD
              2) start WinHIIP and select your PS2 HD, now check GTA-SA and extract (you will need atlest 4GB)
              3) use and ISO Editor to extract the DATA and MODEL to a folder on your Pc.
   b) start "GTA-SA Ultimate Editor" and decide on what you want to change.
   c) once all your changes are done then goto the "Notepad/Info" tab and there will be a list of files changed
   d) Now its time to create the Disc Image
(DVD) use a burning software that you know will work for PS2 games, and add the DATA and MODELS directories back in
and burn (I do NOT use this method so I have little information on it)
(HD) 1) use ISOEdit (PS2 ISO editor program), and replace and save the files as needed
             2) Here is the tricky part, if you change the file size of any file on a disc, than you need to rebuild the LBA (Logical Byte Address)
To point to the correct places, if not than your game will lock-up.
Start cdgenps2. Copy the game from your PC HDD to cdgenps2 using drag-and-drop method (don't think there are any other way)
	     3) Now use WinHIIP to transfer the ISO back to the PS2 HD (I would rename it so you can still play/have a good copy of GTA-SA)
   e) Now hook it up/ or throw it in and Test

5) Are you still workign on GTA-SA Ultimate Editor?
Well, kinda... I am waiting for the PC version to come out (June 7th), because the editing process will be alot easier without
   all the PS2 specfic problems
