The Sarin MMX2 is the newest in a line of vehicles I first made for GTA 1
& 2. This time around, it's in 3D (obviously), and fully equipped for all
your military needs.

Installation: Using IMG Tool (available at GTA3Mods.com), open up your
"gta3.img" file in the gtaiii\models directory, find the original "rhino.dff",
and rename it to something like "rhinobackup". Then add the new .dff
included in this zip. Do the same thing for "rhino.txd", only this time in
the "txd.img" file, found in the same directory as the other.

I've included a handling config file for the car, so if you've got Car Stat
Editor 3 from GTA3Mods.com, you can just import the stats from
"rhino.cfg" into your current file. If not, just use notepad and copy the
line that starts with "RHINO 9900" and paste it into your handling.cfg file
(found in gtaiii\data folder), replacing the old rhino line. You can also
place a ";" in front of the old line to cancel it out without deleting, just in
case you want to switch back later.

Next up, open "default.ide" from the data folder using either notepad, or
MultiEdit (get this at http://icey.gouranga.com). All you have to do here
is replace the wheel type with 164, and set the wheel scale to 0.72. If
you're using notepad, these will be the last two values on line #122.

The last thing you have to do is open up "carcol.dat", which is in the same
folder as the last two, and add the following line to it using notepad:
rhino, 31,31, 0,0

That's it for the installation, now for a couple of final notes. This is the
first release of the car, and there's still a couple of things i may update in
a future version. For one, the car still uses the original collision box for
the rhino... I almost got a new one working, but there's still a few things I
don't know about the .col files. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. There's
also a slight problem with the interior poly's getting culled by the wind-
screen, not too sure what's going on, but I'll try and work this out by the
next version. But for now, I hope you enjoy my latest car. Oh, and be
very careful around the army after you install this, they're quite loony
once behind the wheel of this monster. ;)

PEACE

Copyright 2002 by illspirit, with the exception of the file format and a
couple of leftover textures which were of course created by Rockstar.

I have tested this with no problems, but in any case, use at your
own risk. I cannot be responsible for any problems that might
arise by using this mod. As with any mod, be sure to make back
ups of any files that will be changed first.

If you wish to redistribute this file, that's fine, just as long as it is
done so in the original zip file, but don't even think about selling it.
If you happen to work at Rockstar or DM, erm, I mean Rockstar North,
and like the model enough to put it in GTA4 or give me a job, or
perhaps just want to help me with the .col file format out of the
kindness of your heart, feel free to contact me...
